The idea for this association has come from many manual osteopaths across Canada. However the following three manual osteopaths, Dr George Sandhu, DC, DOMP, Kim Best, DOMP and Jeannie Dhun, DOMP have stepped up to make this dream a reality by becoming its first registered directors.

CMOA (ACOM) is the only national association that is tasked to register qualified manual osteopaths in Canada. The government registered title of RMO "Registered Manual Osteopath" awarded by the Association to its members informs the Canadian public, insurers and third party payor that care is provided by a qualified, ethical, competent, and registered manual osteopath.
